What This Class Is
Intermediates build on Junior foundations with progressively demanding training. This is where children begin sparring, drilling under realistic pressure, and developing genuine functional strength. The IAMA values framework moves into Perseverance, Self-efficacy, and Self-Regulation: the psychological skills that make tough training productive.

Striking Combinations
Multi-strike combinations and pad work drawn from karate, boxing, and Muay Thai. Technique linked to footwork and timing.
Grappling Fundamentals
Throws, takedowns, and ground control from judo and jiu-jitsu. Self-defence in every position, not just standing.
Controlled Sparring
Introduction to controlled contact sparring with full instructor supervision. Composure under realistic pressure.
Self-Defence Scenarios
Practical responses to wrist grabs, bear hugs, and other real-world holds, drilled systematically.
Self-Regulation
The orange belt psychological focus. Managing frustration, arousal, and effort under genuine training pressure.
